Flour tortillas

Ingredients
3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp sea-salt
1/2 cup lard (or shortning)
1 cup water

Preparation
mix dry ingredients then add lard (best if mixed by hand). Add water a little at a time until mixture forms a nice dough (the bowl will start to look clean as the dough is formed). Roll into a 14 to 20 inch log and cut in half. Keep cutting each half in half until you get an even number of balls (about the size of a small egg).  Roll in hands (use a little lard to help with this by placing in the center of palm, just a small amount should do) form into the shape of a mushroom top and place in bowl used for mixing. Cover and let stand for 15 to 20 min.

Cook
Roll out dough on a floured surface and place on a hot skillet or griddle, about 10 to 15 seconds per side until done.

Makes about 12 to 20 tortillas.
